A woman’s body was recovered from a paddy field in Jaintapur

Police recovered the body of a woman from the aisle of paddy fields in Sylhet’s Jaintapur. The body was recovered on Friday morning.
Deceased Dolly Begum (22) is the daughter of deceased Abdul Rahman and wife of Ahmed Al Sharif of Paschim Thakur Mati (West Chatti) village of Chiknagul UP in Mohila Upazila.
According to local sources, on Friday (October 14) around 6 o’clock in the morning, the locals found Dolly’s body lying in the paddy field next to the house. Chiknagul UP member Ahidur Rahman went to the spot after receiving the news.
Locals said that Dolly Begum has been suffering from epilepsy for a long time. It is believed that Dolly left the house at some point after dawn without the presence of the people of the house. He later died on the estate.
Meanwhile, the police reached the spot at 10:30 a.m. and recovered the dead body.
Golam Dastgir Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge of Jaintapur Model Police Station, said that the body has been sent to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
