Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Prabarana Purnima festival of Buddhists is being celebrated in Bandarban with various arrangements.A flood of joy held surrounds this festival.
From Sunday (October 09) evening, various events including lighting candles, lighting thousands of lamps, and flying lanterns are going on in different Vihars of Bandarban.
Religious Deshana is going on in every Bihar.Buddhists observe this Prabarana festival with religious ceremonies.
In the evening on the occasion of the festival,A grand and charming Ratht Moving starts from the grounds of the old Rajbari of Bandarban.At this time, worshipers light candles and incense sticks and offer their prayers to the Buddha image in the chariot and donate various amounts of money in the hope of getting happiness and peace.
Later the chariot was taken to Ujanipara Buddhist Vihara.
Meanwhile, lanterns of different colors and sizes are being flown in the sky from various Buddhist temples around Prabarana festival.At this time,the night mountain sky is illuminated by the light of numerous lanterns.The atmosphere of the mountain becomes more beautiful as the lanterns fly one by one.
