The 12th National Parliament election will be held in the last quarter of next year or the beginning of 2024. You are the main administrative unit of the state, the top officer of the district administration. By virtue of office, you perform important responsibilities towards the people. You must have realized the importance of forming government and local government through elections in a democratic governance system.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said these words in his welcome speech during a meeting with Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police at the election building in the capital on Saturday (October 8).

Apart from Chief Election Commissioner, other Commissioners, Secretary of Election Commission, Senior Secretary of Public Security Department of Home Ministry, Additional Inspector General of Bangladesh Police, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police are present in the meeting.

CEC said, first of all, I and my colleagues extend a warm welcome and greetings to the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police present. Honorable Senior Secretary of Public Security Department of Ministry of Home Affairs and Honorable Additional Inspector General of Bangladesh Police are also present. Best wishes to you too.
