A seminar was held on the occasion of the inauguration of Street Child Welfare Trust in Chapainawabganj
Abdullah Al Mamun, Chapainawabganj: On the occasion of the auspicious opening of the District Office of Street Children Welfare Trust in Chapainawabganj, a seminar was held with teachers, parents, street children and children affected by the storm.
On Sunday (October 8) around 10:30 a.m., a day-long seminar was held at a local hotel organized by Street Children Welfare Trust Chapainawabganj.
Chairman of Street Children Welfare Trust Fazlul Haque, MP for female reserved seat Ferdosi Islam Jesi, Principal of Nawabganj Government College, Dr. Shankar Kumar Kundu, representatives of donor organizations, J. Mark and Valentine, Municipal Awami League President Abdul Jalil, General Secretary Agriculturist Rokonuzzaman, Sadar Upazila Parishad Female Vice Chairman Nasreen Akhtar, Vice Chairman Md. Tosikul Alam Babul, President of District Women Awami League Sakhina Khatun Parul, Principal of Nawabganj Women’s Fazil Madrasah Abdullah Al Kasem, Chief Researcher (Retd.) Dr. Saiful Islam, District Supervisor of Chapainawabganj Street Children Welfare Trust Mst. Shamsur Nahar Poli and others attended the seminar chaired by Mohsin Ali, a retired assistant teacher of Nayagola High School. District Coordinator Mst. Babita Khatun delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Abdur Razzak, Retired Principal of Baliadanga High School conducted the program.
Fazlul Haque, chairman of Street Child Welfare Trust, said that in various educational institutions of the district, the students from poor families who are backward and under the storm will be provided with income so that they can spend their education at home. Training will be provided by a team of skilled trainers by going to educational institutions. Along with this, eco-friendly non-smoke stoves will be provided free of charge to prevent tree destruction. He urged everyone to come forward to protect street children.
The representative of the donor organization, J. Mark and Valentine, said that it is good to come to Chapainawabganj district. People here are very nice. Later, the guests gathered to take pictures with them.
