Criminal activities are going on in the railway station behind the background of Mithun Das, Senior Assistant Engineer Poot (IWO) of Shaistaganj in Habiganj district. His misdeeds are increasing day by day. No action is being taken against him. However, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Najratun Naeem said that action will be taken against criminal activities in Shaestaganj.

According to the investigation, Mithun Das is in charge of Akhaura-Shaistaganj-Bhairab railway. But it has been alleged that even though he joined a year and a half ago, he did not work in Shaistaganj even for a day. His office is locked every day. However, an office assistant under him kept various goods in exchange for money.

Apart from this, the locals said that Mithun Das has not been working in Shaistaganj office since joining. However, at the end of the month, he stole 4/5 lakh taka per month from the illegal shop jute given by him through his assistants.

Meanwhile, the common people and employees suffered greatly as he did not hold office. Others brought his signature from Akhaura. Many employees of the railways said that because he did not come to Shaistaganj, a lot of work accumulated. 1 day a week went to Akhaura and brought signatures. However, those who are occupying these illegal structures have not given documents to anyone. Only verbally allowed. Yesterday, it was seen that his rest house and office were closed and various goods were piled up there.

When asked about this from Mithun Das, he said, Mr. UNO cannot do anything to me. I do my job. However, he claims that all the news that has been published is false.
