BNP’s announcement to resist the ‘traitors’
The district level leaders of BNP have announced to resist those who will participate or express their intention in the next 12th National Parliament election by disobeying the decision of the party. They said, Trinamool of BNP has never committed ‘dishonesty’. Some central leaders have betrayed the party in the past due to greed, helping them take wrong decisions. But if anyone dares to make a similar mistake this time, he will be taken to the ultimate level of humiliation.
District and metropolitan level leaders said these things in an exchange meeting with the leaders of Dhaka, Barisal and Faridpur divisions at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Tuesday. In the meeting presided over by the acting chairman of the party, Tariq Rahman, in addition to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the member of the standing committee of the party, Mirza Abbas, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Selima Rahman, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and many others were present. District and Metropolitan level President/Convener, General Secretary/Member Secretary were present. Tariq Rahman was connected virtually.
Leaders at the district and metropolitan levels said the situation today would not have arisen if the party’s ‘unscrupulous’ were not active in One Eleven. When the 2014 ‘prevent election movement’ was at its final stage, the high command of BNP stopped the movement at the instigation of some traitors who were in the party. In 2018 elections too, there was some greed among the party. Those who believed in the ruling party took the entire party to the polls by securing only their own seats. They drowned themselves in the election, drowned the party as well. But if any more ‘disloyal’ emerges, not the high command of his judicial team, but the grassroots leaders and activists will do it wherever they can.
They said that it is a life-and-death struggle for leaders and activists across the country. Either win or die. Everyone should join the movement with this mantra. To make this movement successful, the leaders of the center have called upon the leaders to come out of the air-conditioned rooms and stay in the field.
Urging everyone to forget all differences and move together with one force, the BNP High Command told the departmental leaders that at this moment there can be no quarrel over who has a position, who does not have a position, who is above, who is below or who is not valued. First, democracy should be brought back to the country.
In the meeting, the party high command gave several instructions to make the next 10 departmental mass meetings a success. Among them, the top leaders of the party emphasized on holding street meetings and workers’ meetings at each police station, upazila and even at the union level.
BNP announced the rally in 10 organizational divisions last Wednesday. This rally will start from October 12. The starting day will be Chittagong, October 15 Mymensingh, October 22 Khulna, October 29 Rangpur, November 5 Barisal, November 12 Faridpur, November 19 Sylhet, November 26 Comilla, December 3 Rajshahi and finally December 10 Dhaka. The BNP High Command wants the maximum number of leaders and activists to attend the rally announced in the organizational section of the meeting. Acting Chairman gave various directions for this. At the same time, the high command emphasized on solving any conflict in the district and metropolis. He also instructed the leaders to do whatever is necessary for the participation of all levels of leaders and activists in the rally.
