A six-member investigation committee has been formed to find out the cause of the power disaster
The Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) has formed a six-member investigation committee to find out the cause of the power failure. The committee was formed under the leadership of Executive Director (P&D) Yakub Elahi Chowdhury.
This information was informed in a press release of the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Mineral Resources. This notification was posted on the Ministry’s verified Facebook page today at 10:00 PM on Tuesday. However, the notification did not mention the names of other members of the inquiry committee.
Apart from this, two more committees will be formed by the electricity department.
Most of the power plants connected to the eastern grid shut down when the grid failure occurred at 2:04 a.m. on Tuesday. Half of the country was left without electricity.
