The Russian foreign minister hinted at the use of nuclear weapons
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has hinted at the use of nuclear weapons. In a press conference after attending the United Nations General Session, he hinted that the parts of Ukraine where the referendum is being held will be given full security if they join Russia. Analysts say that through this, he made a clear statement to take over a total of four provinces, including Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk, which were occupied by Russia in Ukraine.
The Russian Foreign Minister said these things at a press conference on Saturday (September 24) in New York time. His remarks come as four provinces in Russian-occupied eastern and southern Ukraine hold referendums on whether to join Russia.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Ukraine will not give up (its territory), calling such comments by Sergey Lavrov and several recent comments by Putin “irresponsible and completely unacceptable”. We call on all nuclear powers to speak up now and make it clear to Russia that their rhetoric is a grave threat to the world. It will not be tolerated.
