According to the court’s order, the gang-rape case has not been arrested?
Even though the gang rape case has been filed on the orders of the court, no rapist has been arrested yet. Meanwhile, there is also an allegation that the accused are going around publicly and threatening the parties.
It is known that on the evening of August 31, a young woman of Baniachang was forcibly taken from the Shaistaganj new bridge area and gang-raped in the Kirtai village of Chunarughat upazila, Ahmedabad union overnight, and the rapists left her on the new bridge in the morning. When the victim went to the police station to file a case after 3 days after being admitted to the hospital, the court was advised not to take it.
On September 6, the daughter of Abdul Haque of Tajpur village of Baniachong upazila passed away and her ex-husband Sohag Miah (30) son of Phul Mia of the same village, Apan Miah (24) son of Nurul Islam of Sultanpur village of Shahjahanpur union of Madhavpur upazila and Arif son of deceased Mujibur Rahman of Kirtai village of Chunarughat upazila passed away. When Mia (28) filed a case in the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Court, the court ordered the OC of Chunarughat police station to register the case as an FI. According to the order of the court, the case was settled on September 19. Which case no-40, GR no-431/22. But even though this case has been registered, no accused has been arrested yet. The accused are openly walking around and threatening to withdraw the case. But even then the accused could not be arrested. The victim and her family are suffering from insecurity.
The investigating officer of the case, OC (Investigation) Golam Mostafa, said that the police operation is continuing to catch the accused. The accused will be caught soon.
