Shakib is once again the number one all-rounder in T20
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has again topped the ICC T20 all-rounder ranking. Shakib last reached the top in October last year.
The International Cricket Council (ICC), the governing body of world cricket, released the new rankings on Wednesday.
Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi was at the top before the recently concluded Asia Cup. Shakib was next. Shakib is currently at number one with a rating of 248.
Shakib got a chance to play only two matches in the fight to be the best in Asia as Bangladesh was eliminated from the group stage. In addition to scoring 35 runs with the bat, the Tiger captain took only one wicket with the ball. Meanwhile, Nabi’s rating points are now 246 after losing points due to not performing well in the Asia Cup.
Shakib has been number one in the ranking of all-rounders in ODI format for a long time. His rating there is 372 points. Besides, Shakib’s position is fourth with a rating of 328 in Tests. In front of Shakib in this format are Ravindra Jadeja (384), Ben Stokes (362) and Ravichandran Ashwin (335).
