Bangladesh World Cup T20 team announced

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. Selector Minahjul Abedin Nannu announced this 15-member squad for the World Cup at 2.30 pm on Wednesday. Besides, there are four people on standby with the team.

There is no big surprise in the Bangladesh team except Mahmudullah’s exclusion from the World Cup team. The selectors are giving chances to the experienced, performers and potential best in the World Cup. Liton Kumar Das, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Yasir Ali Rabi caught the coach’s attention by playing practice matches after being injury free. Soumya Sarkar, who was left out of the team after the T20 World Cup last year due to consecutive failures, has been kept as a standby. Hasan Mahmud has returned to the team.

Enamul Haque Bijay, Naeem Sheikh, Parvez Hossain Imon, Mahmudullah Riyad have dropped from the team. Mushfiqur Rahim withdrew from this format immediately after the Asia Cup.

Bangladesh will start the World Cup mission against the team that has passed the qualifying round on October 24. Apart from that, the other four opponents of Bangladesh in the Super Twelve are South Africa, India, Pakistan and the teams that have passed the qualifiers.

Before the World Cup, the Tigers will play a tri-series against Pakistan in New Zealand. Which will start on October 7. Bangladesh will go with the announced team for the World Cup in that tri-nation series as well.

Bangladesh World Cup Team: Shakib Al Hasan (captain), Kazi Nurul Hasan Sohan (vice-captain), Liton Kumas Das, Sabbir Rahman, Mehdi Hasan Miraj, Afif Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Yasir Ali, Mustafizur Rahman, Saifuddin, Taskin Ahmed, Ibadat Hossain , Hasan Mahmud, Nasum Ahmed, Nazmul Hasan Shanto.

Standby: Shariful Islam, Sheikh Mehdi Hasan, Rishad Hossain and Soumya Sarkar.
