President Md. Abdul Hamid said, the 750-bed super specialized hospital under Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) will reduce patients’ dependence on foreign countries. If this hospital is opened, the suffering of the patients will be reduced, as well as the foreign currency will be saved.
He said this in a greeting message given on the occasion of the inauguration of the Super Specialized Hospital of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Wednesday (September 14) morning.
The President said, this super specialized hospital has been built to add new dimensions in education, treatment and research of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. I hope that this hospital will provide the best medical services in the country at a low cost. It will be possible to do all the tests in the country without going abroad. The tendency of the country’s patients to go abroad for treatment will decrease.
He also said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University is a pioneer of higher education and research in medical science in the country.
