Poisonous cockroaches with eggs were recovered from the kitchen

A venomous snake with eggs was recovered from the kitchen of a house in Ranibazar area of Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar.
On Sunday, a resident of Ranibazar area of Kamalganj upazila saw a snake holding his cooking and informed the forest department. Later, the forest department informed the Srimangalasth Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation to rescue the snake.
Swapan Deb Sajal, Director of Wildlife Service Foundation, went to Rani Bazar and recovered a poisoned Parakeet, a baby and 15/16 eggs from the house’s kitchen. Shahidul Islam, Range Officer of Forest Department, Wildlife Scout Tajul Islam were present at this time. Swapan Dev Sajal said that the rescuers, mother Paddhagokhra and the baby, have been released in Lauyachara National Park. The rescued paddhagokhra eggs have been kept in the range office for hatching in a special process. Swapan Dev Sajal said that the scientific name of Paddhagokhra snake is Najakaochia. The snake has been caught in this area before. The people of the area are made aware to inform the Forest Department or the Wildlife Service Foundation if they see a snake and do not kill it.
