BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has always brought nothing when she visited India.

Former Finance Minister M. He made this comment in response to a question at the memorial meeting organized on the occasion of Saifur Rahman’s 13th death anniversary. Saifur Rahman Memorial Library organized this commemoration. Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain chaired the memorial meeting, Vice Chairman of the party AZM Zahid Hossain, Advisor to Chairperson Amanullah Aman, BNP Leaders Nazimuddin Alam and Kamruzzaman Ratan spoke.

Regarding the Prime Minister’s visit to India, Mirza Fakhrul said, I do not want to say anything about his (Prime Minister’s) visit to India. Because our experience is so bitter, so disappointing. Each time I saw it with great disappointment, with despair; The Prime Minister has given India, but not brought it. Every time we hoped that maybe this time the Prime Minister would bring something for us. I saw that every time he came, he did not bring anything. So let’s go around first, see what they bring, then I will comment.

He also said, before the political change in 1975, you have to focus on the socialist economy. Those (Awami League) who did not believe in socialist economy said we will establish socialist economy. After that, no structure of socialist economy was created. What has been created is an economy of loot. From 1972 to 1975, the economy of Bangladesh was a total loot economy.

The secretary general of BNP said that the same situation is still going on in all areas. Roads are being built, bridges are being built; The bridge which can be built in one year is done in 10-15 years. The road from Dhaka to Tongir has been going on for 10 years now.

Reminiscing about Saifur Rahman, Mirza Fakhrul said that Saifur Rahman studied accounting. That’s why he knew very well what to do would be profitable and what not to do, and what to do would lead to debt and which to do would be much more profitable. That is why he took charge of the finance ministry. He did what he thought was good for the country. And he would do whatever was necessary to do that.

This leader of BNP also said that we are going through a very difficult time today. At that time Saifur Rahman would have supported us politically. He would have been able to reveal the original face of this government.
