The decision not to join politics is entirely Joy’s, PM tells ANI
Bangladesh government has taken various digital initiatives as suggested by Sajib Wazed Joy. However, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said this in an interview to Indian news agency ANI that her decision not to join politics depends solely on Joy herself and the people of the country.
Talking about his son Sajib Wazed Joy joining active politics, he said, ‘Look, he is a mature man. This decision depends on him.
The Prime Minister said, you know, he is helping me. But he never thought of getting any post in the party or ministry. But he is working for the country.
He said, our initiative to build digital Bangladesh, digital systems like submarine cable or computer training have been taken on his advice.
The Prime Minister said that there was a strong demand for him in our party conference. Then I told him, go to the microphone and say what you want. Then he said, ‘I don’t want a position in the team at the moment. Rather, those who are working here should get this position.
