Law and order forces are on High alert in Naikhongchari Border area: Police Super Tariqul Islam,PPM

Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Two Myanmar shells fell from the sky in Ghumdhum Union of Naikhongchari Near the zero point of the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.

At 9:30 am on Saturday (September 3), two fighter jets and two combat helicopters of the Myanmar Army took off between border pillars 40-41.

Meanwhile,Two shells fired from the warplane fell approximately 120 meters inside Bangladesh along border pillar 40.

In a statement,Bandarban Superintendent of Police Tariqul Islam,PPM confirmed that security has been increased at the border after this incident.

According to the statement,At approximately 9:20 am on Saturday morning,2 war planes and 2 fighting helicopters of the Myanmar Army were flying from the sky in the middle of border pillar 40-41 under the jurisdiction of Reju Amtali BGB BOP of Ward No.8 of Ghumdhum Union.

At this time approximately 8-10 rounds War Shells were fired from the warplanes. Around 30-35 shots were fired from the helicopter.Meanwhile,two shells fired from warplanes fell approximately 120 meters inside Bangladesh along border pillar 40.

Besides,the enemy fired 4 rounds of heavy weapons from Tumbru Right Camp of 2nd BGP (Border Guard of Police of Myanmar) between border pillars 34-35 of Tumbru BGB BOP of Ward No.1 of the Union,which is ongoing.

According to the statement Also,since this incident,the law and order forces are on maximum alert on the Bangladesh border and intelligence surveillance has been increased.

It is to be noted that the Superintendent of Police gave a statement immediately after this incident on Saturday (September 3).
