Awami League will deal with violence in the name of movement: Obaidul Quader
General Secretary of Awami League Obaidul Quader has warned that Awami League will deal with the people if there is an element of violence in the name of the movement. He said, “Awami League will never attack anyone, but if attacked, it will be counter-attacked.”
He said this to reporters at the end of the chief guest’s address at the three-day international conference on Environmental Protection for Sustainable Development organized by Awami League’s Forest and Environment Subcommittee at Dhaka University on the theme of ‘Green Bangladesh: Prosperous Bangladesh’ on Friday.
Knowing that Sheikh Hasina will not be able to shake the government in the election, BNP is taking steps to question the election, Obaidul Quader said.
Those who are not workers of BNP now, they have become miscreants, there is a case against them. Obaidul Quader asked if the accused of terrorism cases are arrested by the police for these crimes, what is the police’s crime?
General secretary of Awami League asked BNP leaders, “If BNP people are criminals, why is there so much objection if they are brought under the law?”
Under the chairmanship of Forest and Environment Subcommittee Professor Khandkar Bajlul Rahman, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change addressed the conference.
