If police-journalist work together, disharmony in society can be removed: Newcomer SP Mamun
The new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sylhet district, Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mamun, said – It is not important what kind of police I want, what is important is what kind of police Sylhet wants. I will try to organize Sylhet district police in that way.
He said – I am very fortunate that I have been given the responsibility as the SP of Sylhet. I did not try to come to Sylhet by showing interest on my own. My superiors felt that I was needed more in Sylhet, so I was posted in Sylhet. After Feni district I came to Sylhet. Getting a job opportunity in Punyabhoomi Sylhet is my biggest achievement.
SP Abdullah Al-Mamun said these things during an exchange of views with journalists working in Sylhet at 2 o’clock on Thursday (September 1) in the conference room of the District Police Superintendent’s office.
He also said – I have come here for some time. SPs come, go. I will prioritize your professional relationship with me. Personal good relationship may be formed with many people for the sake of work. But professional relationship will prevail in professional matters.
He said – there may be misunderstanding with many people due to work. But I hope no personal animosity will arise. Another thing – I am the guardian of the family of 1800 policemen of Sylhet district. Please inform me first if you notice any anomaly in any member of this huge family. I will investigate on my channel and try to resolve the issue. If I have no action, go to report.
The new police superintendent said that if police journalists work together, it is possible to remove the disharmony of the society. You will cooperate with information, we will try to provide the highest service.
He also said that my office will be open all the time to serve the people. You will criticize constructively if there is any deviation in the safety of life and property of the people of the district, maintaining peace and order and fulfilling the duties assigned by the government. Also, I hope you will evaluate my work properly.
