A packed body was found on the side of the Sylhet-Sunamganj bypass road
The police recovered the body of a man from the side of the Sylhet-Sunamganj bypass road. The victim was not immediately identified.
The body was recovered from the side of Khidirpur Sylhet-Sunamganj bypass road in South Surmar Mollargaon area of Sylhet around 5:30 pm on Wednesday (August 31). The body was rotting.
According to local and police sources, the people traveling along the road were smelling the stench from Wednesday morning. In the morning, some local people smelled the stench but did not show much interest. Later, as the day progressed, the intensity of the stench increased. At around 4 pm, local people found a sack in the bushes by the roadside while searching for the source of the stench. The presence of flies is suspected there. Later, when the matter was informed to the police, the police reached the spot and recovered the body through a doom.
