Two days later, the body of the pregnant housewife was recovered from the ditch
Police recovered body of pregnant housewife from Khoya two days after Bahubal went missing. Geeta’s body was recovered from the Sarvajanani coop of the Kamichara tea garden of the upazila on Monday, August 29.
It is known that Gita Das (20), daughter of deceased Mahavir Das of Kamichara tea garden in Bahubal upazila, is pregnant. Geetha Swami lives in her father’s house in Kamichara with Burmik Das. On the morning of August 27, Geeta started running along the garden road when her urination started to hurt. Meanwhile Swami Burmik Das also started running along with Geeta. At one point, Gita forgot the road and disappeared from the three roads of the garden. Later, Geeta’s husband and relatives searched different parts of the garden but could not find Geeta. Locals found Geeta’s body in the ditch of the garden at around 6:30 am on Monday, August 29.
After receiving information about this incident, a team of police led by Inspector Investigation Prajit Kumar Das of Bahubal Model Police Station and Incharge SI Sohail Ahmed of Kamaichra Police Outpost went and recovered Geeta’s body. Later, SI Sohail Ahmed Gita’s surathal report was prepared and sent to Habiganj Modern District Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
When contacted, Inspector Investigation Prajit Kumar Das confirmed the truth of the incident and said that Geeta’s body was recovered from a ditch in the garden, and sent to Habiganj Modern District Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
