The tea workers took out a joyous procession to greet the Prime Minister
The tea workers in Srimangal of Moulvibazar took out a joyous procession expressing their gratitude and greetings to the Prime Minister as the daily wage of tea workers was increased from Tk 120 to Tk 170.
On Sunday (August 28) at 5 pm, women tea workers from various tea gardens of Srimangal came to Srimangal town with a rally under the banner of Tea Workers Union. Meanwhile, the tea workers took out a joyous procession thanking Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for increasing their wages.
Sheikh Hasina government needs tea workers again and again. On behalf of the tea workers, they greeted Sheikh Hasina with red roses and marched. Later the tea workers gathered at the Labor House located on Moulvibazar road. At the Labor House, the leaders of the Tea Workers’ Union expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister. Balishara Valley President Vijay Hazra, Tea Workers Union Finance Secretary Paresh Kalendi, Tea Workers Union Central Committee Leader Makhan Lal Karmakar and other labor leaders were present.
