“20 party alliance with BNP will also be in the field”

The top leaders of the 20-party alliance have expressed their commitment to stay on the streets with the BNP to oust the ruling Awami League government to restore democracy. They said, ‘People are fed up with the government’s corruption, looting and misrule. So there is no option to dismiss this government to save the country and its people. They must be dismissed in a united public movement.

The alliance leaders said these things in a human chain organized by the National People’s Party (NPP), a 20-party coalition partner, in front of the National Press Club on Friday morning. The human chain was organized to protest against load shedding and the abnormal increase in the prices of daily commodities including fuel oil.

Ahsan Habib Lincoln said that the price of everything has increased due to the abnormal increase in the price of fuel oil in the country. As a result, the middle class and the lower middle class have become impoverished. Besides, people are fed up with government corruption and looting. Fair elections under a non-partisan government are needed immediately to resolve the crisis.

Mostafizur Rahman Iran said, “Election Commission has announced to vote on EVM in 150 seats in the 12th parliamentary elections. In other words, the ruling party has confirmed 150 seats with EC in the next election. So we should have only one demand, Sheikh Hasina’s resignation.

Syed Ehsanul Huda said, “People should wake up and protest against the corruption and looting of this government. Everyone should unite and take to the streets to see off the government.

The prices of daily commodities are skyrocketing today. If this government is in power, democracy and people’s right to vote will not return, people’s misery will increase. He also said, ‘BNP is agitating to dismiss the government. If that movement succeeds, there will be a 20-party alliance with BNP.
