US attack on facilities of Iran-related groups in Syria
The United States has announced airstrikes against the positions of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in eastern Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors the war, said the attack targeted the Ayash camp. which is managed by Fatimiun Group. It is mainly composed of Shia fighters from Afghanistan.
The agency says at least six Syrian and foreign fighters were killed in the attack.
Central Command spokesman Colonel Joe Buccino said in a statement that the attack was necessary to protect US troops.
The Central Command did not say whether any targets were hit or the number of casualties.
The spokesman said the attack was in response to an attack on US troops on August 15.
