Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very kind and compassionate towards the tea workers. The current government has made houses for many tea plantation workers. 5,000 rupees per year is being paid to list garden workers, which is not given by any other government. Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina will do everything possible for the welfare of tea workers.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md. Shahab Uddin said this to the tea workers when they blocked the regional highway from 11 am to 3 pm on Wednesday (August 24) at Juri in Moulvibazar district demanding Tk 300 wages.

The environment minister also said to the protesting tea workers that you have loved Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman all your life. Under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, your sons and daughters are getting high education today and are participating in the governance of the country. He said, in the next two to three days, honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will talk about your wages. Later on the assurance of the environment minister, the tea workers lifted the blockade of the road.
