Bureau Chief: Christmas, the biggest festival of the Christian community, has been celebrated in Kumarkhali, Kushtia. Jesus Christ was born in the womb of Mother Mary on December 25, the Christian community’s Christmas day.
That’s why people in the Christian community around the world celebrate Christmas as one of the biggest religious holidays. Like all over the country, Christmas has been celebrated in Kumarkhali in a stylish manner.
A day-long program has been celebrated in the church of the upazila under police security. Children of Light Church Rev: Zaker Ali started the Christmas festivities by cutting prayers and cakes according to auspicious religious rites.
At this time, the general secretary of the Kushtia district branch of the worship celebration council, Adv. Joydev Kumar Biswas, Adv. Anup Kumar Nandi, General Secretary of Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Parishad Sudhanshu Kumar Ghosh and other personalities of different religions were present.
Later, they celebrated the big day by organizing a luncheon and distributing blankets among the needy to share the joy with everyone.
