Tarikul Islam, Khulna: Khulna District Law and Order Committee meeting was held on Sunday morning from the conference room of Khulna Deputy Commissioner on online zoom technology.
Md. Iqbal Hossain, Deputy Director, Khulna Local Government Department presided over the function.
On behalf of the Khulna Police Department, it was informed at the meeting that police surveillance is continuing to protect the biodiversity of the Sundarbans. Police patrols will be increased in the metropolis and districts to prevent theft.
Buyers are requested to check the ownership of the old motorcycle properly. Executive Engineer of Roads and Highways Department Md. Anisuzzaman Masud said at the meeting that illegal vehicles including Nasimon-Karimon will be stopped from entering the city using the ferry at the jail ghat of Khulna city.
Deputy Director of Local Government Department Md. Iqbal Hossain said that more awareness is needed to prevent the second wave of coronavirus and to avoid public gatherings and to observe hygiene rules in mosques. Everyone needs to observe hygiene in their respective fields as well as make others aware.
It was informed on the occasion that 164 cases were filed in the Khulna district jurisdiction in November which is 27 more than the number of cases filed in October. In Khulna metropolitan jurisdiction, 212 cases have been registered in November, which is 51 more than last October.
Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain was congratulated on behalf of the meeting for receiving the Digital World-2020 Award for special contribution in citizen service through information and communication technology.
Additional District Magistrate Md Yusuf Ali, Additional Superintendent of Police (South) GM Abul Kalam Azad, people’s representatives and government officials were present in the conference room.
