Sheikh Momin: Due to the fog, ferry service has started on the Daulatdia-Paturia route for 8 hours. The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTC) has decided to resume ferry service after the fog on the Padma River eased around 9am on Thursday.
Akkas Sheikh, a truck driver waiting at the wharf, said he left Magura at 11pm carrying vegetables and reached the Daulatdia ferry area at 12:30 pm. At that time I got stuck in the car serial. As the ferry was closed, the ferry did not reach till 8 am.

When the fog cleared around 9 am, the ferry service became normal. He confirmed that 18 ferries were plying on the Daulatdia-Paturia route.
