Mir Jamal Habiganj: A mobile court has imposed a fine of Tk 50,000 on Titas Children’s Hospital in Madhabpur for various irregularities including sewing (operation) of multiple patients with a single thread.

According to mobile court sources, the raid was carried out at Titas Children’s Hospital in Madhabpur Upazila on Monday afternoon. At this time various irregularities were found including not using lead sheet in the door of X-ray room, not having proper paperwork renewal, selling expired drugs, sewing more than one patient in the thread used by one person in the operation.
Later, according to the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, the company was fined Rs 50,000 and given 3 months imprisonment without pay.
A fine of Tk 20,000 was imposed on the lab of the National Diagnostic Center on the old hospital road in Habiganj city for not having an expired reagent and necessary documents.
