Sylhet Bureau : A seminar on the role of Islamic culture in preventing social degradation and a pleasant Islamic cultural program were organized by the Department of Islamic Studies at Leading University on Friday.
Professor Dr. Chairman of the Department of Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies, Islamic University, Kushtia as the main speaker in the seminar. Syed Maksudur Rahman was present.
Leading University founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees Danbir Dr. as the chief guest. Syed Ragib Ali and Acting Vice Chancellor of the University Banamali Bhowmik and Member of the Board of Trustees Syed Abdul Hai spoke on the occasion.
Hazrat Shahjalal (Rah) through the holy land of Sylhet Islam has started to mention the speech of the chief guest. Ragib Ali said, “We have to accept the principles of Islam, otherwise there will be chaos in the society.” He said the spread of proper Islamic education should be brought in the society to prevent social degradation.
The Department of Islamic Studies has been set up at Leading University with the aim of spreading this education. He called upon the teachers to play a role in preventing the decline of the society by educating the students of the department in Islamic culture.
If you move away from social values, social degradation occurs, said the chief negotiator Professor.
Syed Maksudur Rahman said that the role of Islamic culture is very important in preventing social degradation. In order to implement Islamic culture, Islamic education has to be introduced in Islamic economics and other subjects.
“We need to refine our inherent thinking, including honesty, responsibility, fairness, conscientiousness, patience, generosity, discipline, perseverance, perseverance, creativity, patriotism and motherhood,” he said. , And must fulfill responsibilities with power in the social structure.
He further said that anti-culture needs to be suppressed and lack of humanity, love, decency, morality and religious knowledge towards people will have an impact on the society.
The seminar was chaired by Fazle Elahi Mamun, Assistant Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Islamic Studies, Leading University. M. Rakib Uddin, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Modern Languages Professor Nasir Uddin Ahmed, University Registrar Major (Retd.) Md. Hafiz Ahmed Robi, a former student, recited from the Holy Quran at the beginning of the program conducted by Muhammad Ziaur Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies.
In the second part, current and former students Junaid Ahmed, Imad Ahmed Rabi, Muaz, Asiya Abdin Ilma, Abdus Shukur, Guest Artist Hifzur Rahman, Hamd, Naat, Ghazal, Parody, Beads and Patriotic songs were performed by student Shamsul Huda in a pleasant cultural program.
