Kamal Hossain: The launch of the Red Card Campaign to Prevent Child Marriage took place at 10 am on November 26 in Koyra, organized by the MCR-ICD project of the non-governmental organization Faith in Action and funded by Kindernthill Fe (KNH) Germany.
On the occasion of the day, prevention of child marriage, its remedy and various harmful issues were discussed in the Upazila Parishad auditorium. Koyra Upazila Nirbahi Officer Animesh Biswas was present as the chief guest at the discussion meeting chaired by Project Manager Jacob Titu Pinaru and Project Officer Farhana Jahan.
Upazila Mahlia Affairs Officer Reshma Akhter was present as a special guest.The discussion started with the greeting speech of Noel Rana Saha, Project Officer of the organization.Among others, the headmaster was present and spoke.
Afzal Hossain, Md.Khairul Islam, assistant teacher Abul Bashar, Abdul Halim and teenage student Sumaiya Sultana.Teachers and adolescent students of various educational institutions were present at the occasion.At the end of the campaign, each teenage student signed a red card titled ‘Education is the first, red card to prevent child marriage’.
