BSMRSTU correspondent : Students of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology (BSMRSTU) in Gopalganj are on a hunger strike demanding admission in the waiting list for the 2019-20 academic year.
Students wishing to be admitted on a hunger strike at the main gate of the university at 11 am on Tuesday.
A number of students who are suffering from uncertainty claim that they sent a letter to the university vice-chancellor on September 14. They claim that the former acting vice-chancellor and administration have left the number of seats incomplete, leaving the future of the waiting students in uncertainty. Despite assurances from various teachers and administration officials to take action in this regard, the university administration has not taken any action in the last nine months.
