Tarikul Islam, Khulna: On the occasion of the 57th birth anniversary of Sheikh Rasel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a discussion meeting, cutting the cake and prizes were distributed in the conference room of Khulna Deputy Commissioner on Sunday noon. Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain was the chief guest. Khulna District Administration and Shishu Academy organized the event.
The chief guest said that if Sheikh Rasel had survived, he would have led in all fields of Bangladesh today. But on 15 August 1975, miscreants killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family at his residence in Dhanmondi. Incidents are rare not only in the history of the Bengali nation, but in the history of the world. He said that the concerned people including the parents should take care that no child is neglected. Everyone must come forward along with the government to prevent violence against children and protect children’s rights.
Deputy Chief Information Officer of Khulna Regional Information Office Md. Javed Iqbal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Ziaur Rahman, Commander of Mahanagar Muktijoddha Sangsad Md. Alamgir Karib, former General Secretary of Khulna Press Club Md. Saheb Ali, Chief Executive of Rupantar Swapan Kumar Guha, District Child Affairs Officer Md. Abul Alam and other officials were present.
Later, the deputy commissioner distributed prizes among the winning children. On this occasion, various competitions were held at Khulna Shishu Academy in the morning.
At the same place, on the occasion of the 57th birth anniversary of Sheikh Rasel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a cut the cake program and discussion meeting was held at the initiative of Khulna Sheikh Rasel International Tennis Complex. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain was the chief guest.
