In a nationwide protest against the abuse of women and children rape – Principal Ibrahim Akhtari- Rising rape is a manifestation of a weak picture of the law and order situation in the country.

Mohammad Masud Karim Chowdhury: Principal M Ibrahim Akhtari, a central member of the Islamic Front Bangladesh, said that the heinous activities including rape of women and children, rape, murder and robbery have exceeded the tolerable level. There has been an erosion of morality and an extreme erosion of values everywhere. As a result, people are suffering from extreme insecurity. In an independent state, civil insecurity is by no means desirable. Such ugly and horrible incidents in Noakhali and Sylhet have also defeated ignorance in Ayam. In the true sense of the word, this is happening again and again because of the lack of proper justice for those involved in such heinous acts. Although the administration has been able to arrest the miscreants, he lamented that the godfathers are still elusive, adding that the growing number of rapes is a reflection of the weak law and order situation in the country. Although there is no visible political tension in the country, it is not clear why these heinous activities continue.
Therefore, the government needs to understand the pulse of the common people. Otherwise, all the achievements so far will be tarnished, he remarked.

The central co-president of the Islami Chhatra Sena said that even if a criminal is arrested, the gaps in the law are melted due to misapplication of the law. As a result, the way for them to become more reckless becomes wider. Besides, eradication of crime becomes difficult. In addition, the indifferent and indifferent role of the administration in this case is no less responsible. Therefore, apart from questioning the rule of law, a crisis of confidence of the people in the country’s judiciary is being created. So the maximum punishment for the rapist is the demand of the time to implement the death penalty law.
