177 families are getting dream house in Kishoreganj

Latiful Azam-Kishoreganj (Nilphamari): The construction work of 177 dream houses allotted for the homeless in the current financial year under the Prime Minister’s Shelter Project in Kishoreganj upazila of Nilphamari is progressing at a fast pace. Seeing these houses under construction in a pleasant environment, the landless families are counting the waiting hours with deep interest in the joy of getting a permanent house.

After visiting the project area on the spot, Rasheda of Bahagili Union, Tahirul of Putimari Union, Nirmala Bala of Mala and Baravita Union said they did not have their own land and house. I lived on human land with some kind of shelter. I never thought I would be in a house. The government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has done for us what we never imagined in life. We congratulate the Prime Minister for this.

Abu Hasnat Sarkar, Upazila Project Implementation Officer and Member Secretary of Asrayan Project Implementation Committee, said 71 people were stranded on the steps of Putimari Union, 6 in Bherbheri Hazirhat Hajipara, 26 on the Karbalar dangga in Bahagili Union and 38 on the land of Pathakathar dangga in Baravita Union. Work on the house under construction under the allotted shelter project is nearing completion. He further said that as per the directives of the Prime Minister, we are working day and night for the landless and homeless families so that the helpless families can find a place of refuge in a short time.
Nur-E-Alam Siddiki, Upazila Nirbahi Officer and President of Asrayan Project Implementation Committee, said that the houses under construction for the homeless are moving ahead at a fast pace.
